Occupational Therapists

Sharmeen Khan, MS, OTR/L

Sharmeen had the privilege and good fortune of discovering Occupational Therapy in Karachi, Pakistan, after she graduated with a BS in chemistry and biology, instead of nursing which her parents would not allow since nursing was not an acceptable profession! Occupational Therapy has taught her compassion, empathy, patience, kindness and appreciation of all ages, cultures and peoples.

She has many years of experience as an Occupational therapist with both adult rehab. and more recently since 9 years in Early Intervention, outpatient private practice, and home-based therapy with children. She is trained in NDT, SI, SOS, Handwriting without Tears, and Reflex Integration, and is looking to further achieve more experience and training in feeding fragile infants. Sharmeen enjoys cooking, reading, spending time with her 3 daughters and cat, Niko and being out in nature on walks and hikes. Sharmeen has worked in New Jersey, California and is now based in Charlotte.
